Filipinos love to celebrate, even if there's a disaster. In the Philippine calendar, there are so many holidays to be celebrated. But what is the holiday called Independence Day? Why is it celebrated?
It is now common for us to celebrate Independence Day on June 12. This is the so -called liberation of the philippines from the hands of the occupiers. That Filipinos will live free from tyranny from foreign occupiers. Filipinos are also living without fear. So the Filipinos celebrate it. But during the time of pandemic, we cannot gather to limit the spread of this virus. But still celebrated through online or on the screen. The flags hung outside as a sign of the celebration of the independence day.
Every day 12 of june was a celebration from being an independent country. No conqueror, no living in the hands of foreigners. Cause philippines was free. That is why Filipinos celebrate it. But this pandemic change it and no gathering. And yet, it was still celebrated.
